Master Cindi Rulon started Taekwondo in 1979 under Grand Master Ri Kon Ko of Independence , Missouri . Not knowing the day she walked in, her life would completely be turned around. Coming from a large family of 4 brothers and 4 sisters, Master Rulon has a love for people and the care for their personal safety and health. This has kept her teaching through all of these years. She graduated from college and worked in Rainbow Mental health state facility for over 7 years. She also worked in the Pediatric unit and adult long-term stay units in Kansas City Missouri .
Master Rulon trained and taught under the strict discipline and instruction of Grand Master Ko and in 1982, she traveled to Fort Leavenworth military bases where she assisted Grand Master Ko in teaching. She also taught under Master Ko schools in Independence and Blue Springs Missouri.
With her husband Pat Rulon, Master Rulon relocated to Northern California where she trained with instructor William Kim, Master Myong Oh and many other martial artists. She would later open a Taekwondo school in the fellowship hall of one of the local church buildings – a school that rapidly grew to 68 students within 2 months.
