Master Cindi Rulon started Tae Kwon Do in 1979 under Grand Master Ri Kon Ko of Independence, Missouri . Not knowing the day she walked in, her life would completely be turned around. Coming from a large family of 4 brothers and 4 sisters, Master Rulon has a love for people and the care for their personal safety and health. This has kept her teaching through all of these years.
Master Rulon trained and taught under the strict discipline and instruction of Grand Master Ko and in 1982, she traveled to Fort Leavenworth military bases where she assisted Grand Master Ko in teaching. She also taught under Master Ko schools in Independence and Blue Springs, Missouri and is still a member of Grand Master Ko’s Central Tae Kwon Do Federations. She also started a self -defense program with her long-time friend Master Paul Henrich.
While living in Northern California, Master Rulon trained with other Grand Masters and many other martial artists. She would later open a Tae Kwon Do school in the fellowship hall of one of the local church buildings – a school that rapidly grew to 68 students within 2 months.
Master Rulon later returned to Missouri and started teaching Tae Kwon Do at the YMCA in Blue Springs, Missouri where she taught for over 8 years until opening The Action Martial Arts Academy LLC.
From the west coast to the Midwest , Master Cindi Rulon has taught from Back yards to drive ways, to church buildings, to Military bases to colleges; her faith and compassion for teaching has been a driving force in her life.
